Yes, I found the 5XXs a good entry level pair of headphones and very politeness, not my preference, but I'll recommend them to anyone who wants a good and correct sound without spending a lot of money. I have not tried the HE 500s, but I've read a lot of good things about them. I prefer my 58Xs...

Yes, some people likes here the 820... It's something about the pads, if they are properly sealed against your face you perceive a very good sound with them, at least I have read about that here.
