I can only agree with that. I found a pair of EL34s from RTF, a bargain at 80€, and they are simply fantastic - I prefer them to my 5998 & KT88/66. Forgot a pic from the tubes :D

Yes :) I made a mistake and only ordered 2 adapters, I didn't even think that I could use 4 :D I'm also very excited about the KT88, if you read here, they are recommended again and again.

Possibly interesting for one or the other: It seems that I can NOT access the Gentooplayer web interface from my Mac Mini M1 - for whatever reason. From my Windows PC it works without any problems. I have now received a test key, I am curious.

I had bought the FMC mod recommended here in Head-Fi to test the Gustard R26, and since the R26 didn't convince me, everything disappeared into the cupboard. This morning I had the idea to test it with the Red, and what can I say, I'm very enthusiastic :D

Unfortunately I don't know, I've never used Squeezelite.

It just depends on what you use the Red for. If you only use Roon, RedOS is top, if you also want to use HQPlayer, I would recommend DietPi. I listen to 95% of my music with HQPlayer, which is why I use the NAA OS with my RED - but that only works with HQPlayer :)

I wrote this in the Roon forum, but maybe someone here has the same problem: When I play my Qobuz albums via the HQPlayer client, only the first track is ever played, you can also see this on the left of the program, track 1/1. When I play local albums, it works fine, it also shows track 1/12...

Hi, i use the Red only as streamer. I've tested all I2s and SPDIF, and USB has the best quality for my taste - no DDC needed, which is why I'm selling my U18 :) I'm currently using the Red with Jussi's NAA OS, and the sound is amazing.

Magna-Hifi took it back and sent me the Spring 3 instead. :thumbsup:
