Just got these. I did not like them at all. Then I found the right sleeves. I started with the standard medium foam sleeves that come attached, plugged into my ADI-2: disappointment. The soundstage had the width of the box the SEs came in. Moved on to the soft-flex sleeves, the type I've grown...

Most worried about finding the right XLR cable that will work with the Elegia, probably gonna have to get a custom Corpse :xf_rolleyes: Seems like I might be fine with the front SE outputs though, since the Elegias don't need a lot of power. What do you think?

Turns out the Meze cable was fine all along! The culprit was balanced output of the iFi Zen DAC. I had received the Zen the same day, and tested it with the Meze. It was my only 4.4mm option at the time. I had concluded the cable was at fault, due to both the rear and front Zen balanced ports...

Ordered the Meze 99 4.4mm cable to replace the stock Elegia cable, which had broken in less than an hour. The cable-gods are not smiling upon me, as the 4.4mm end was half dead on arrival. This time it was the right side that wasn't working, when fully plugged into the balanced port of an iFi...
