The Closed-Back Headphone Thread (Plus Comparisons & Reviews)
Pretty close but yes. The 9200s maybe have a bit better detail retrieval and separation, but the bass of the TH900s is unbeatable.! 💪🏻- bythebookiii

Same boat here. I had to change the pads since I bought the TH900s mk2 a few years ago with these ones (tried different brands before being settled): https://a.co/d/bb4JDRt The result: the best sound signature I've ever heard, with less piercing highs and mids coming alive while keeping the...- bythebookiii

Great news.!! I think it was @Malevolent who took me that way with the 9200s, unfortunately they fell short regarding comfort.!- bythebookiii

It's been a while since my last post. Just checking in to remember everybody how the TH900 Mk2 became my endgame HPs. I finally stopped craving for more options and I just let the music and these "White Pearls" do their thing. No EQ, no more DAPs, just my Iphone with a portable DAC and Apple...- bythebookiii

A lot of time since my last post, and the great @Malevolent just made the perfect excuse for me to jump in. First time I disagree with something you said... "epitome of clarity" is really close for what the TH900 mk2 stands for me, and I don't know if we are talking about the same cans because I...- bythebookiii

HiBy R8 User Impressions
I didn't have the opportunity to thank MusicTeck for the replacement of my R8. The service was flawless and once I wrote them about my problem (the display went dead without no reason apparently) the response and the process was fast and effective. Andrew took it personal in a great way...- bythebookiii

Denon AH-D5200 (little brother of the AH-D7200)
I'm having problems with headbands all the time. My most recent bad experience was with the Airpods Max, stunning sound for a Bluetooth HP but unfortunately I had to return them after just one day of use, the problem: the headband's fit pressing the top of my head. I've tried some and the most...- bythebookiii

Maybe it's the seal or the opening, making the sound too thin and delivering excessive crisp notes all around. I came from the Z1r, so it figures.- bythebookiii

HiBy R8 User Impressions
This happened Friday, so I'm going for the third night waiting for the display to go on. In the meantime, I'm using my old R6 Pro and even though it covers for the purposes, the difference is noticeable regarding detail retrieval and resolution.- bythebookiii

No luck at all, my pc recognizes the device when plugged and the led flashes when charging, could it be a display issue? So frustrated, I bought it last December and was working flawlessly.- bythebookiii

Fostex TH900 MkII
Agree with you @TSelanne ! The Zirs are more as a complement than the TH900s which are IMO very similar to the D9200. If the reds have more bass, well, I cant imagine how much could there be of an improvement because the whites have power in the low end. They also respond really well to eq, a...- bythebookiii

Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread
Adding to the pads conversion, I tried the Dekoni Elite Sheepskin Replacement Ear Pads for Fostex TH-X00 and the opening was too shallow for my ears. Then I went for these ones: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X1L287G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_DHBWDHQY75GXQ0SFNW5K?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1...- bythebookiii

On the same boat here. Actually I'm on the middle of finding some flac files for artists not too well known because the differences between mp3 or any lossy format and hi-res for me are a game changer between enjoying music with pleasure or not. Just went back to hear some songs on apple music...- bythebookiii
