My PR2's are still going strong, so this time I'm going to wait until the PR3 has been fully reviewed before i decide whether to buy them or not.- Capo Dei Capi

For the money paid it's the best IEM i have ever bought. I think what a lot people are getting upset about is they are not getting exactly what was advertised. I'm waiting to see what KZ releases next on the planer front. I think if they can tune the sub-base a bit better but keep the mids and...- Capo Dei Capi

What the hell! First I had to check what version KZ sent me, then I had to check for QC problems, now I have to check the damn mesh. What next, are they secretly putting DD in place of Planers? For the record, I checked my mesh with a magnifying glass and they both look the same. I'm not...- Capo Dei Capi

I think you nailed it there. I have no problems with my PR2s, in fact, after a week they seemed to have settled down even more. The treble seems to have calmed down a lot and these have turned out to be the best KZ iems I have. I'm convinced of Planer technology over DD if you have a decent amp.- Capo Dei Capi

So if removing this filter has changed the sound signature that much and messed up the PR2 and customers are now not getting what was advertised. It beggars belief that they did this. I mean how much is that filter worth? Most probably less than a few cents if that. Any company that would...- Capo Dei Capi

If that's the case, then why do they send them out with silicon tips? I don't like foam as it's a pain to use.- Capo Dei Capi

This is what you need to tame the beast. This is my setup if anyone is interested. Good set of silicon tornado tips. A 16-core Aftermarket cable and a half-decent DAC. I limit myself to £50 pounds of IEM's a year now, which means I only buy 1 or 2 IEMs a year. I have a box full of KZ's...- Capo Dei Capi

So i put my PR2's to the test against some of my other top iems. They beat out all the others. Does anybody own both the mesh and non-mesh versions and can they graph them to see the difference?- Capo Dei Capi

One thing i always do with any iem, is change the tips. It makes a world of difference. I've never liked the stock KZ tips. They've never provided a good seal and as such make the IEM sound worse. I honestly can't complain with my pair, but after all this controversy, I find myself re-listening...- Capo Dei Capi

I just checked mine again. I made a mistake. I have the V2 version without the mesh. But saying that I don't find the treble too much. I did buy a DAC to run it through which helped a lot. I'm still burning mine in, but they sound better with each day. I think the problem with KZ (or the PR2)...- Capo Dei Capi

Got the Dac today. Vast improvement over my phone. I can now use the PR2's on about quarter of the volume and they sound better. I agree with you. I don't buy the most expensive equipment. The PR2's have now replaced my KZ anniversaries. Both are good IEM's but the PR2 just sound more accurate...- Capo Dei Capi

For the record, none of my KZ iems have ever had any QC problems or broken for that matter, but now i only buy 2 pin. Ordered a cheap dongle dac off Amazon. It comes with the CX31993 Chip. Does anybody know anything about this chipset?- Capo Dei Capi

Got my PR2's. Mine have the mesh filter in. I haven't listened to them that much, but what I can say, is they have excellent detail. Very flat, but that's not a bad thing. They do take a bit more power to run, but i can run them on my phone. But saying that, can anyone recommend a cheap dongle...- Capo Dei Capi

Same for me. I started sending them messages and all of a sudden my PR2's got shipped. Although the tracking said delayed delivery, whatever the hell that means. I'm just waiting for these things to turn. One thing does worry me. I only use a phone, so I'm wondering how much use the PR2's will be.- Capo Dei Capi
