Fiio has made an exciting product and the quantity of DAC chips is limited, the output cannot meet the demand. We've seen the same trend over the last year with other high end electronics, it's not surprising.

Not sure what you mean, I bought mine from office direct on Amazon for $750 with $8 shipping.

This has been my experience so far, the FD1 out preforms the two other IEMs I own which each cost twice as much- they don't get any listening time anymore! I'm really looking forward to seeing what Fiio will come up with in the future after purchasing these headphones.

My thoughts exactly, I not sure if I actually believe in "burn in" but I can say this headset seems to have opened up really nicely. There was some treble harshness initially that has smoothed out and the overall sound is just amazing. Kind of unbelievable for 60$, I think Fiio has hit a home run.

Whats everyone's current switch preference? Because the IEM is so sensitive to different tips I've been trying different things. So far I keep coming back to the default 0,0 tuning, it's got a nice balanced sound. Using the Sedna tips now so I'm playing with the switches again.
