Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I remember cancelling my Stereophile subscription after this arrived, because clearly they were out of touch with the direction of modern audio systems. To their credit, they came out with a glowing review (Class A) a couple of months later. The photo includes audio equipment that came from...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

A shout out in appreciation for the Transporter! I ordered it when it was first announced and it has remained one of my favorite pieces of audio equipment of all time. It completely changed the way I listened to music, and was the first stand alone appliance I knew of (as opposed to general...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

The best thing about this type of tweak is that it is free, and non-destructive if you save the originals! I have used Foobar2K for most maintenance tasks with my music files for years, and also use it with specific settings for the scanning and level adjustment here. Since the True Peak scan...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I have been somewhat obsessed with the potential issue of intersample clipping for a while now. I am surprised that when you consider the OC nature of the audiophile community that this is not discussed more. Unlike the majority of subjective opinions that are part of this hobby, True Peak...
