What do you think living in the US will be like in 2020?
What an amazing thread to come back to. It's essentially an intellectual time capsule. I think even being fantastical you couldnt have come up with what 2020 would bring back in 2003.- ItsThePeanutiest

Rank the Headphones that You Own.
1. Monoprice Monolith M570 (though painfully I just sold them on my path to gathering funds for a Focal Elex) 2. Sennheiser 6XX (they're just so great for listening to music through my balanced amps) 3. beyedynamics DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm (my daily drivers for work as a video game sound designer) 4...- ItsThePeanutiest

Best Closed-Back Headphones for Music, Gaming and TV shows in the $200 - $400 range
+1 on DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm. It's tough to find quality closed backs in this price range and these come pretty close to being as good as it gets around this margin. Probably some of the best bass response I've heard in headphones in this range. They last forever and if they dont theyre fully...- ItsThePeanutiest

Best $200 or under desktop amp
I've went ahead and pre-ordered a Drop THX AAA ONE. More single ended output than the Atom makes the Atom redundant in my setup. Also, I'm in the process of selling off my THX AAA 789 in the spirit of consolidating my amp/dac stack. (I already own a P20 for my tubed/balanced love) All this...- ItsThePeanutiest

Do You Text Message?
I like texting because if im just looking to get some quick info i can forgo all the niceties and social conventions that are required when you call someone. The hellos and how are yous and small talk before you get to the meat of the purpose and then the goodbye. Not that I mind that with...- ItsThePeanutiest

What is the best method to get digital audio from your PC to your DAC
I prefer the ~$8 (sometimes $2 if you're ok with Amazon Warehouse deals) USB-C to 3.5 Apple DAC option. If you don't have USB-C just pick up a USB-C Female to USB Male adapter Edit: Apologies, I hastily responded before reading more in-depth. This is not the solution for a Holo May- ItsThePeanutiest

Best Closed-Back Headphones for Music, Gaming and TV shows in the $200 - $400 range
Would you consider going with a Philips Fidelio X2HR with a vmoda boom pro mic? It's open back but is a really great all arounder especially for gaming. For strict closed back I also agree with DT 770 PROs. They are my favorite "mid tier" closed backs hands down. I always hear from my...- ItsThePeanutiest

Modhouse Audio Argon - T50RP MK2/3 & T60RP
I'm about 9 or 10 weeks in. Sent in some TR-X00's I was able to track down on AVX to get them converted into a Modhouse Argon Mk2 balanced. Not in any kind of huge rush just excited for the day the mailman drops off that package from Modhouse. Will post pics when it comes in. Be well, my...- ItsThePeanutiest

Hey guys I know this isn't exactly rocket science or anything but I remember the first time I did pad swaps on my KPH30i I didn't really have any info on where the tabs were or how exactly to pull apart the cups/driver etc. Figured this thread was as good a thread as any to post a little...- ItsThePeanutiest
