The stock mesh has around 300 density grid (at least it matches for almost a 100%), so better look for 4.5mm 350 one. Anyway it costs +- 1usd per 20pcs. Also I've tried mesh that was in the box with Moondrop S8, but its hardly noticeable (probably around 200 density).

Seems like my unit of PR2 (without inner meshes, so-called V2) also has some degree of variation from earlier revisions. And surprisingly, it responds quite well to the tuning options. Still waiting for 350 mesh dampeners to arrive, but it should be a sweet spot for usage with an impedance adapter.

Hi. I guees it just a matter of taste. D30pro should sound identical while use DAC mode or set at 0 in PRE mode. The only real reason of using volume control on D30 is just precise indication, you can always go back and forth between the numbers more easily than with knob positions.

I'm currently using this setup. Apart from the obvious changes in loudness it just adds a bit of warmth on the high gain (if properly equalised with the DAC). If we talking about DAC set at 0, then it's listenable at 12 hour on medium gain. With the max outed high gain on A30 you need to set DAC...

No doubt that KZ has a great ratio, but the most major problem IMO is that none of their iems are really exceptional (some are more of a hit, some more of a miss). I mean yes, dq6 is good for its price, as well as many others, but comared to the TOTL stuff all of them has its own weird flaws...

XS btw is surprisingly efficient - it takes about 1/4 of Centrance Dacport HD at high gain and have about 80db out. My 4xx is also collecting dust. Apart of its broken headband it has a weird air pressure effect. There's also of noticeable channel imbalance (ccombo).

I doubt it's that simple. It's just the best I've tried yet. I'd say you can't go wrong with them if you know that neutral-bright signature is your thing and you don't mind the 5k peak.

I'd say you can try your luck and ask him directly, or just wait a bit till we had more usefull info. For me personally is hard to imagine something better around this...

Okay, so here's my modest take. In terms of FR they seems to be more similar with the K701 than with Ananda (at least to my ears, YMMV). Comfort is acceptable. Not as good as 58x, but better than 4XX / ATH MSR7 / Momentum 3. Hot spot at the top become noticeable after the hour of listening...
