The Zishan dsd's corner
I think I missed something to let you think that, let me rewind up again: The device is a DSD with single AK4497 (second hand), the device simply didn't recognize the analogue board, I did try 0.4M,L, K, and I firmware on digital board which is marked as Z1_9325_3. But when I put the 0.4K (Dual...- londere

The Zishan dsd's corner
Hello again mates, recently I got a DSD with single ak4497, but I can't play any files version 0.5; voltages over DAC are OK (3.3,1.8,5V). However, if I plug the GAD Dual AK4497 digital board works fine. So the question is anyone known which version should I use to get work single AK4497? I did...- londere

Hello @Rafinnnnnn15 I want to tell you about the Zishan devices are meant for DIY and optimizations by your self, currently I didn't own the Z4, but I own the DSD's (AK4499 and Dual 4497 by GAD) and they sound amazing but as I did tell you are meant for modding. If you own an M11 will have a...- londere

There's no IC that decode the buttons, it's the GPIO of the FC microprocessor, check any short on the modded phases (such as amps , power IC, etc.) also check the firmware versions, finally check cold joints on the microprocessor and the buttons. If they are like the digital board on DSDs they...- londere

The Zishan dsd's corner
Stupid question: The clicking, it's not fault of any cap? Maybe in the LDO for 7V (if you hadn't modded) or in the opamp device its self? Also, if current draw rises depending on the file, maybe CPU current is dropped .... causing malfunction of decode those files. In my case, I did not notice...- londere

The Zishan dsd's corner
After the mods done by me I had a problem with my DSD's if I plug it to my MacBook (2012mid-linux-connected to AC) if I power all at the same time, the DSD turns off and only stays as usb DAC and don't shows connected, if I play some files as music player and then I plug it to the MacBook it...- londere

I think if you had heat resistant tape, a good flux and a good heat gun will be no problem to damage the PCB I think also I forgot to mention check the diodes near the ldo and capacitor bank- londere

Hi there, I took some days off, From my point of view Zishan need to do this, as you mention @Setmagic the problem is the CPLD/FPGA delivery from the OS (ZishanRTOS/Rockbox). Maybe can be emulated (or sort of) the USB or the BT since both are I2S and the decode part are from the CPLD to DAC- londere

Same Issue here but with the U1, in Linux without ASIO driver, and also it powers off if you did not play anything in 1 minute. Saving to buy a Z4 and give it a try, maybe as a test anyone could flash the T1 Rockbox to see if OS works or tell Zishan to do a port of it for Z4.- londere

Here Hiby R5, ZiShan DSD's and U1, as we have discussed the ZiShan devices are for modding, totally different as the mainstream, I think my DSD's sounds better than R5 in SE using Sen HD660s and Onkyo HF300. But I think is due to the limitation of Voltage used in R5 (+-5V) against (+-9V) of DSD's.- londere
