Hd 598's with or without amp?
i hooked up the hd 598's to my zune 30, and e11k. i switched mid track to straight out of the zune, what was apparent right away is that the amp brings the vocals more upfront, and they seem fuller and boosts the bass (even without the bass boost) but the overall sound seemed more balanced...- Palm Springs

FiiO X3 vs X1
I recently got the e11k, I've been using it with my old zune 30, with the sennheiser HD 598. would the x1 be a significant upgrade over the zune 30? (e11k would not improve the sound of the x3 is my understanding)- Palm Springs

Ipod Touch 4th gen vs. Sansa Fuze Sound Quality
I have the clip which is supposed to be identical sounding to the fuze. just got the 4g touch, first impression is that it has alot more bass then the clip, and overall i'm pleasantly surprised by it's SQ although i still prefer the zune 30 over it- Palm Springs

cowon x5 and d2 vs zune
I have a cowon g3 and a zune, and i prefer the zune sq. it has a more bulkier, warm, balanced sound. the g3 sound signature is cold, the vocals though very clear, sound recessed due to the emphasized midbass.- Palm Springs

WMA 192 equates to what in Mp3?
I use winamp at 256, 16bit, stereo, 44100, cbr, for wma10pro. although i'm not sure that zune fully supports it, the interface seems to lag when playing wma10 pro files, or maybe it's just me.- Palm Springs

ATTN: Zune users which of these codecs yields best performance? (SQ/Battery Life)
WMA10 pro is a superior format even at 16 bit, 24 bits dosent make any difference since the source file is only 16 bit, all it does is take up extra space. on zune.net they recommend using wma standard for longest battery life. http://www.zune.net/en-us/support/ho...idecontent.htm- Palm Springs
