That’s only susvara users who have used it with the TT2 can answer. That said, the Heddphone itself is a demanding HP. You can compare the specs.

I have used such an adapter with the Heddphone, itself a hard to drive HP…but returned to the standard TT2 SE HP jacks. ..for my audio listening levels, they have more than enough volume, though some tracks I end up cranking to -5 to -8 volume levels…on low gain.

The build quality of the Heddphone v1 is.. atrocious…

I have both. In an ideal world, the design and comfort of the utopia with the sound signature of the Hedd would be one of the TOTL, all time greats.

Primary reasons (IMO), compared to other flagships in my collection: - poor build quality overall for a flagship (but stellar sound) Heavy ( Some other flagship headphones are heavy too, so maybe not an issue. Doesn’t bother me at all) The driver housing handles seem to spoil faster over time...

Next iteration, working on reducing weight, longer cables (balanced and unbalanced in the box), a superior build quality overall + better head strap length adjustments + better comfort for long sessions…and perhaps a wee bit more depth in soundstage would be awesome. Sound wise, I do not know...

Thanks. I tested the Amp mode the whole of yesterday and it does have its benefits ( gain switch and volume control ). My concern was the caveat often cited of not driving speakers directly through the TT2, which seemed odd since, in principle, one could use TT2 in DAC mode if your are driving...

Sorry didn’t get you. For a powered speaker system with it’s own volume controller, is a TT2 in pre amp mode needed ? Or Dac mode works fine ?

Thanks. The powered speakers have a volume knob and a remote, so perhaps preamp mode isn’t needed ? I am assuming preamp mode on the TT2 is the ‘amp’ mode.

What about driving powered speakers directly with TT2 in DAC mode ?

Ok. this is freaking me out. I can hear the music playing faintly directly from the TT2 unit (Dac mode) (no speakers/headphones attached to TT2) Is this normal ? I never encountered this phenomenon before !

What happens if the files are a mix of sample rates ?

My Heddphone’s right jack is loose …and now I cannot hear any sound output through the right cup. Switching cables didn’t help. Same result. Anyone else had this issue ?
