The Continuation Of The Sony Walkman 1Z/1A Thread!
I'm sure it will be a long honeymoon :L3000: I've had my WM1Z 4 years now. I hadn't looked after the battery so needed a new one. I decided I might as well go with Steve's EXPMv5 mod if I was going to get the battery replaced. That was a couple of months back. I'm now around 250 hours on from...- Pillsburydough

Sony Walkman custom firmware (non-Android)
2. applying scsitoo-nwz-v27.exe and changing to U, once rebooted it would still be Japanese yeah. But did you go to settings at that point, access the third menu, where in there "Language" should be? That's where I found the option to change when I'd done the same.- Pillsburydough

The Official Sony TA-ZH1ES Hi-Res Headphone Amplifier (Live From IFA 2016)
Some advice please guys - I'm a newbie to the TA-ZH1ES having just recently bought one. I've been listening to it with the WM1Z (Walkman input) and IER-Z1Rs. Sounds sublime :relaxed: . Sony Walkman custom firmware (non-Android)
I'll give it a try. What sound differences do you hear between J and E? I've only ever used J, which I switched to as soon as I received my 1Z simply to get rid of the awful EU capping.- Pillsburydough

Sony Walkman custom firmware (non-Android)
Sinful I know, and ashamed to say it but due to a busy life my 1Z still hasn't reached 500 hours and I've had it well over a year now. Can those who have the 1Z and IER-Z1Rs please advise what they recommend using in terms of region and firmware settings (Sony/Mr W/other?). Thanks in advance guys.- Pillsburydough

I'm currently trying to get the DMP-300 FE version installed. I had the previous DMP-300 firmware installed. I used the website StockRevert for DMP-300 which went through fine but following this, I seem to be stuck as everything else came up with the error message stating connect the player to...- Pillsburydough

Sony Walkman custom firmware (non-Android)
So is Mk II a going to be a wonderful journey for the 1Z? I've read on here nothing but high praise from the Mk II trialists (if that's the correct term? :relaxed:) but the praise appears to be pretty much solely in relation to the 1A. With Mk 1 on my 1Z, I'm thinking, can it really get much...- Pillsburydough

@gerelmx1986 do you still use your Custom Art tips? I tried numerous tips without joy - always got the sound with discomfort or relative comfort with poor sound. So, after researching on this thread, saw that you'd got some Custom Art tips and sounded happy with them. (I already had some for my...- Pillsburydough

Whilst waiting for the stock Sony ones, I've tried a range of tips but to no avail really. On my ears - which I think are average sized - Symbio W ones are good for sound but poor in terms of comfort. I'm looking forward to trying out the Sony ones when I get them but not holding my breath that...- Pillsburydough

Thanks for this. They do stick out a fair amount don't they. At the moment I'm waiting to receive the Z1R stock tips (as I didn't receive them when I received the Z1R earphones) but I'm pretty sure I'll be going down the route of custom tips too 👍- Pillsburydough

No issues at all with shipping and delivery. Custom Art used UPS to ship tips so I could track no problem. Yeah, I was thinking I could ask them for the digital impressions, save me sending moulds back off for the custom earplugs I'm wanting for a good night's sleep :relaxed:- Pillsburydough
