I just realized that VD is less than 45 minutes from my house. Looks like that could be an expensive discovery. I've always wondered just how good they could possibly be.

How about the Melos?

It's a completely different system with the ety's. My pal has the jabra headset, and it's an earphone, not a canalphone. The ER-6 goes into your ear canal. I really don't think that you should have too much of an issue with it. It may take a day or two before it's comfortable (read: small pain...

I found the ER-6 uncomfortable the first couple times I wore them. But now they slide right in and I can hardly tell they're there. I think that your ears become accustomed to them.

I too believe that crimping would be better than solder. You don't want the extra resistance that the solder would provide. Assuming that the crimp is good and does not come loose it would provide a better contact than solder would.

I have two pairs of the Analog Two. I don't really have anything else to compare them too, but they seem to be alright. I will have to do some more critical listening as compared to the other cheap IC's I have to comment fully.
