I know. Sometimes even the owners are unaware of their ie900s are fake. I think the only way to make sure, if you ask them to show their purchase invoice and the document with the unique serial number as well. It is on the case as well as I remember correctly.

The ie900 is out for a while. I guess something is already under construction. IMO 1.1k is a good deal if you insist on buying a new one. The price can be much lower if you take a look on the 2nd hand market.

Regarding the codes, worth trying the aptx adaptive if your phone supports it. The connectivity and the bt range is much better the provided SQ is about the same compared to LDAC.

Those would have not been helped me out for sure. I would like to use 2 mmcx IEMs at same time. The changing mechanisim is great so I don't have to buy another pod. Ifi just need to sell those 2pin and mmcx loops separately.

From my memory since I didn't use the utws lately (since I got the pod) fiio is warmer maybe less brighter with good detail and way less driving power. On the other hand the pod has better detail, way better stage, and enough driving power for my ie900. Fiio is good for BA IEMs not for DD imo.

I have both. You get better SQ with the pod. Clearly a better product for more money. Comes with only minor issues compared to the fiio which has many annoying ones like stealing the connection from other devices in the case, loses your EQ profile etc. I do like better the physical buttons on...

Welcome. :) I bought this adapter for the utws5, but after a try I decided to skip this option with the ie900. Now it came handy. You need a little bit of juggling to find a right fit, but well worth it.
