I think if you want bass you're going to need an amp to power it, your laptop is not really ideal especially with the 600 but I think it's negatively affecting all your cans. Just one of those decent USBC dongle DACs would be a huge improvement.

I've already packed it up to return sadly, I tried it on the Raspberry Pi 3 and it still didn't work so I gave up.

Yes, I have installed v224 and v414 EVAL and restarted after each installation. My seller didn't give me a cable with it, but the cable I use can transfer data on my phone well.

I just received the board so I wouldn't know if it worked before, but I did try multiple USB ports (2.0, 3.0 and 3.1)
