Hello, I am selling my hekv2. I love it but it's time to move on to something new. It ships with a balanced LQi Espirit cable that nicely matches the color scheme. It's in very good condition, with a tiny knick on the right cup that is barely visible. The pads were replaced with new ones...- BoomShroom

Cascade Headphone by Campfire Audio
I do understand why people take the white filters off, but it's not my thing. I like it precisely because of the pronounced bass and slightly recessed mids. For a more neutral or balanced sound there's better cans imo.- BoomShroom

I'm really enjoying the added soundstage of the XL leather pads. I tried using the cloth pads recently, and even though I appreciate the different sound, they're too small for my ears. Hoping that XL cloth pads are a thing one day...- BoomShroom

Cascade Headphone by Campfire Audio
If it makes you feel any better mine finally arrived at customs this week. Once I have it I'll post my thoughts on it. I believe the one I bought and others like it are basically DIY since they're not official straps so it should be possible for you to make one as long as you have the knowledge...- BoomShroom

Yeah, I would love other XL pads with a more open material. It doesn't even have to be cloth. I don't see it happening any time soon though.- BoomShroom

Glad that you like them! I personally really enjoy the XL leather pads with no filters because I like the extra room for the ears. Either way, you can't go wrong with whichever pad. Looking forward to your thoughts on them.- BoomShroom

Big agree. I'm not particularly into electronic/house/dance music but these cans make them really enjoyable to listen to. Great THUMP.- BoomShroom

Thanks for the recommendation, I bought the cloth and XL pads but I've been using the XL pads exclusively due to the better noise isolation and my huge ears. When I want a bit more open sound I reach for the Elex. I'm looking forward to getting the lobh strap for improved comfort!- BoomShroom

I see. Well, I guess it'll get here in a week or two then. Did you have to go to the local post office or did it just arrive for you? Also, what are your thoughts on it so far?- BoomShroom

Just got two great pairs of 7193 tubes and the adapter from @DenverW . Big thanks for the quick shipping and careful packaging. I can't succinctly describe the sound in audiophile terms so I'm just gonna say I love them and I'm very happy with my purchase!- BoomShroom

Darkvoice 336i & 336SE Tuberolling PartII
That makes a lot of sense, That seems very reasonable, it seems much more complex than simply saying a certain tube is at x/10 amount of juice left. Thanks for the info, I always learn something from you guys. The tube in question was a Hewlett-Packard/RCA 8080 vacumn tube. I just ordered a...- BoomShroom

Is 2900/3200 on the Hickok Tester a substantial difference compared to NOS? As in, would I be able to hear the difference? Or should I just cough up couple more dollars for a NOS one.- BoomShroom

Darkvoice 336i & 336SE Tuberolling PartII
Thanks for the feedback. Didn't particularly think it was a problem but I wasn't knowledgeable about output voltage levels. That's good to know. I'm going from stock DV tubes to TS 6SN7GTB and RCA 6080. Hoping that's a good combo otherwise I'm open to (cheap) recommendations. Would like...- BoomShroom

I wasn't expecting any substantial difference going from the Fiio E10(not E10K) to the modi 3 since the modi isn't a high-end DAC but I'm surprised how much more clear it is. I also need to lower the Darkvoice knob about half from where it usually was because it's noticeably louder. I wonder if...- BoomShroom
