I realise I’m an outlier here but I preferred the APM to PX8. I’m not sure if it’s an iPhone/Mac thing or an Audio Accommodations thing. Happily we all have many options depending on what we prefer.

Excellent post. Going out on a limb I’d be very surprised if Apple hadn’t aimed their tuning and profile at what they know the majority prefer. To do otherwise would be, well, dense.

I got some this week and can’t say I’ve noticed a difference. They don’t block any mics. I don’t need them for most use as they live in my office, but they’re nice to have for any travel (I’m a photographer so travel a lot when we’re not in a pandemic) and were only £10.

I'd take a wager on the APM's outselling H95's by at least 10:1 this year. At least.
