I have the CMA18. It drives them well yes. Not sure if I prefer the CMA18 or the DC-Elite sound wise since both have to be tethered to a player (my phone).

Yes but battery drain on your device can be an issue. The CB19 adapter cable and a power source is recommended when driving a power hungry headphone like E3. E3 sounds good with DC-Elite to me.
