Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones

Did the same thing, and clicking is also gone from the left side. I planned to return them this past weekend but didn't have time. I guess I'll stick with them for one more week now. On a different note, updated the iOS app with the latest version and now there's a lot of stuttering if the...

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones

Yeah, mine is on the left ear cup. It is definitely mechanic and, as you said, evident with the slightest movement of the head/body. But I've also noticed the clicking sound at higher volumes and when there's a deep bass even when I don't move myself. But in any case, the clicking noise starts...

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones

The clicking noise is the current deal breaker for me (on the left side). The strange thing is that it begins after 15-30 of listening/being powered on. I'm going back to the Sevenoaks where I bought mine tomorrow and try to see if I can return (unlikely since it's been more than 30 days) and if...

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones

Voice call is at the bottom of my list of priorities, but the two times I had to pick up a call while wearing them it was a complete disaster: the other party couldn't understand what I was saying and was just hearing background noise, on both occasions I just switched back to the phone directly.

After a couple of weeks with the PX7s they started making the infamous rattling noise on the left ear cup. It is very noticeable when there's no audio playing.

That's a shame, but since it is a new technology I assume it won't take long for one to hit the market. Thanks for the note on Catalina, holding out at the moment due to many bugs reports and just added this one to the list.

Is there a Bluetooth transmitter that will connect to my Macbook through USB-C and transmit over bluetooth using aptx adaptive? It is such a big difference listening over aptx/aac to connecting directly over USB-C (24/96).

Yeah, both leaving around the neck and just laying down on the table seem to work fine. Note that there's also sensitivity settings through the app, although I left it on the default one (normal). You can hard disconnect by holding the power button all the way up for 5 seconds or so. But I...

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones

I've probably put 30-40 hours on the PX7s and they've grown on me, probably due to the break in period others mentioned. Both lows and mids are more detailed and pronounced. Another small annoyance I'm experiencing is with the dual BT pairing: throughout the day I leave them connected to my...

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones

I'm observing the same - it does a good job in an office environment, but walking down the street or riding the tube introduces a lot of ANC glitches, including the amplification of wind noises that I mentioned before. Big disappointment on the front compared to my XM2s so I wouldn't consider...

Have you downloaded the new app, which has a white/grey icon?

Got it. Fortunately on mine, they don't move with the natural movements of the head. In your place, I'd definitely get them replaced.

Yeah, after reading those messages I actually checked mine and I can totally see why it could rattle. The function and volume up buttons on mine are nowhere near as stable as the volume down button - same for the BT one: video https://streamable.com/csw74. Played some music as loud as I could...

Agreed with regards to button placement, but hopefully it's something that's easy to get adjusted to. Wasn't expecting two accounts of the buttons rattling :(

I'm fairly sure it isn't just the mechanical noise of the wind against the headphones as the noise isn't present on the low setting.

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones

Tried it today both in low and adaptive walking on the street with somewhat strong winds. While the low prevented the amplification issue, the actual cancellation was close to useless for the wind coupled with the natural street noise. Adaptive wasn't helpful either, switching between the two...

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones

    * usb-c to usb-c to my macbook pro works when I select the headphones through the Sound settings on macOS to use the headphones; * using a usb-c to usb-a cable together with a lightning-usb-a adapter wasn't enough for the headphones to appear in my iPhone XS cast options;

Never observed this behaviour with either my XM2 or the QC15 before them - surprised to know that's actually the norm.

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones

Got mine on Saturday from a local Sevenoaks store. Really happy with the overall sound quality, and especially how wide the soundstage and the tight bass that provides a lot of clarity. ANC is a bit weaker than in my old Sony XM2, but that is expected and acceptable given the big leap in...
