I have both the D8000 and the Utopia, and they complement each other well.

I haven't experienced this issue in any genre at this point, but I don't listen to music at super high volume...

I think it's because the pads are too stiff and pressing the side of my head too much. Hopefully they soften up over time. Thanks for your tip.

A newbie Diana question - clamp force of the new TC for my big head is much stronger than other headphones I've used so far. Does this ease over time? I love the TC sound, but fit/comfort seems to be a small issue here for me. Thanks.

This is somewhere between the Utopia and the Final D8K I have - good treble and separation of the Utopia and nice thumpy bass of the D8K. I am driving it with the Bakoon HDA-5230 now and will try the Wandla + Oor + Hypsos stack after work later tonight, but this is much more demanding to drive...
