The JPS Labs: Abyss AB-1266 Impressions Thread
The light earpad contact was the case with the seam of the pads at the original position (11 o'clock, I think). And, when my face was thinner, haha. This was during the first few weeks of receiving my TCs. The way I use it now, in addition to the 9 o'clock position, is by keeping the width at...- BrowChan

True! At first, I had a few issues figuring out which position I'd like the seam to be at cause of comfort and imbalance. I'm not sure who suggested 9 o'clock here, but it's the one that has been working well for me since. I was surprised by how different the sounds were when going back and...- BrowChan

The JPS Labs: Abyss AB-1266 Impressions Thread
Okay. I think I've been using the TCs incorrectly, 😂. Previously, I had my ears positioned either in the center or at the back of the earcups. Later, for whatever reason, I brought the front side of the earcups towards my ears by maneuvering my head and......the bass is exploding, lmao...- BrowChan

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!
How is the bass (subbass and midbass) quantity and quality of the MR (using the best stock pads for bass, idk which one though) compared to the 1266 TC? Also, what about the soundstage? As much as I love the TC, I need something portable given my situation.- BrowChan

Hey you! Hope all is well. I’m recently found out that this equalizer will not work with just a single AMP/DAC combo unit (like my TT2 or iFi Micro). It requires separate DAC and AMP to work, but I prefer all-in-one units. Hence the sale. PayPal fees on me. Let’s divide shipping if possible...- BrowChan

Hey guys, hope all is well. Seen from the title, I’m looking for a sturdy stand for my TC as I find myself not having a place to use headphone holders in the future. I’m looking to pay as low as possible. So please keep that in mind before PMing me. Having said that, please PM me with the...- BrowChan

Seems like you have your own thread also for this: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/new-huracan-845-s-e.899059/ I am surprised by its price. Cause I thought it would cost 10K or more. They look pretty awesome thou! Wonder what they sound like. This hobby invokes strange feelings, haha.- BrowChan

I can’t say no to that. :fingers_crossed: More power vs Tube. I’d expect more power to give more soundstage. But I only have auditioning experiences with tube/s. Would need them side by side to know the soundstage differences. It’s nice that you have preliminary experience with your guitar...- BrowChan

Lol, I think if someone were to plot a time-money graph of our wallets, we’ll see a sinusoidal one. But hey, I’m curious to know what differences you gonna find b/w WA33 and your TToby. And I wonder if I’m gonna get something before you do that!- BrowChan

Did you know that I exhausted all my savings to get the TT2? Now you been saying TToby producing bigger bass, bigger soundstage.....but wait.....I need a bigger wallet before that. 🤣 Edit: I actually have a Loki Mini+ on order too. Curious to see how to fares with my HPs.- BrowChan

We always want to keep up the ladder, hahaha. It is really awesome that you get to experience the differences all in one sitting. By the way, why not replace your TToby with Étude? I read the following from Moon Audio: "Although the amplifier is conservatively rated at 150W into 4Ω, if you run...- BrowChan

Certainly! If only I had "a nice stack of cash" too, lol. I think the 4th one. The higher I go, the more centered and pinpoint the vocals get. Although, some tracks that are meant to be heard (by the producers) in stereo do not sound the best with CF, IMO.- BrowChan

Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
I had this too. Either static or one channel cutout when not at the step. Of course, everything was back to normal once the knob is at the desired step. So it seemed like that's its normal behavior? But I think the issue was less prevalent with the 'knob break-in' if that makes any sense.- BrowChan

So, this week, the Y-adapter for my TT2 arrived.....from Abyss, lol. I just wanted to keep the wiring consistent. Don't ask why. :stuck_out_tongue: Improvements: The bass and soundstage improved. While the soundstage improvement was not massive, the bass level improvement was respectably and...- BrowChan

Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
When I had it, it was the second best I had heard (w/ WA33 being the first). It has very good bass control, soundstage, and imaging. Now, I like my newly acquired TT2 better, but I think the 1b still has about 10-15% better bass quantity (based on my memory). Pinch of salt advised on my opinion...- BrowChan

You might have mentioned it somewhere, but how do you find your LCD-4's bass with your TToby? Your review on the TC-TToby combo only makes me want to buy more, sigh. Currently, the bass from TT2 SE is not cutting for me (HSA-1b had more pronounced bass and was really fun to listen to). I am...- BrowChan
