AKG k712! Buy them online (Amazon) where they accept returns just in case you don't like them. I got them a week ago. Mine is driven by Magni3 amp. Classical music shines in these headphones. Could literally feel the cello, drums flute, violin in the sound.

Why is studio/monitor Amp way cheaper than dedicated Headphone AMP? I assume monitor amps are used by professionals, why not we use them too to drive mid-tyre headphones like AKG-K712? Studo amps like Behringer Powerplay P1 are way cheaper than dedicated entry level Headphone Amp like Magni-3...

Unfortunatly Fiio M11 is way off my budget. A5 is not available in India. Is Fiio Q1 a better alternative for Dragon Fly Black. Is Q1 worthy an upgrade from DF Black (I paid way more than US retail price to get this in India ;) )?

I am in a dilemma. K712 is just around $40 more than k702. I currently have HD598, ATH m50x, grado SR80e, HD4.5BT and AKG k92. Out of these, I love listening to k92. The clarity and cleanness is phenomenal. But feels more on the brighter side. Don't know all of the music is masters brighter...
