MEE Audio Pinnacle P1 - $199 Dynamic Driver Flagship *Reviews 2nd Post*

Easily. I had V10-V30 and now V40. High impedance iem/cans are the natural food for the V series smartphone. The DAC works well with every ear/headphone but when you plug in HI stuff it really shines. Don't ask me what it is, something one cannot measure with anything except his own brain. With...

    Correct.

    LG V40 ThinQ

Not a quality drop, the Quad Dac is there anyway, it's just less power available. Certain iems despite the low impedance sound better when they have plenty of power available and as said the v40 gives that kind of power only if it recognize a high impedance iem/can. For example, certain low...

    LG V40 ThinQ

If you like soundmagic sound get the e80 (unless you're a basshead, in that case e10 would suit you better) and enjoy great music with your v40 in HI mode. Best

    LG V40 ThinQ

In order to trick the HI mode you might use an adapter with a certain resistance, i did try with 70ohms and despite it did trigger the desired mode the sound quality was not the same. How have i noticed it? simple, I compared the P1 connected straight into the phone first and then through the...

    LG V40 ThinQ

I do have the P1 and they do trigger the high impedance mode; no worries.

    LG V40 ThinQ

It is very tricky, let me explain myself. I had the LG V10,V30 and now V40. Officially "all of them" need 50ohms to get in High impedance Mode. For some reason when you plug some 46/48 ohm headphones it does not accept them as "High impedance", some other time it does with lower impedance iems...

@Dobrescu George Not a big deal really, I had a pair of FH1, not an expensive IEM. I am actually more sorry that some people will think twice before buying a Fiio product not because of the products itself but because of the awful customer service they have. Once again great review, cheers.

I am Italian and both I and a couple of friends of mine have had some pretty bad experiences with their CSR being virtually not existent. A good friend of mine from Germany got a pair of Fiio FH5 who went almost mute from one side after a couple of months and he struggled a lot with their...

Good review. Just one thing..saying that Fiio has a good after sale support is comical. I do not know where you from but Fiio is very well known for having one of the worst after sales support of the Market..

I had a different experience but i could give it another try in the future.

Hi @serman005, IT01 is a great iem but way beyond the $50 limit.

    Bass Bomb!

Correct, even though it is true to a certain extent. If bass is not there you cannot invent it even if you rape your ear canal ;)

    Bass Bomb!

From what i read the Tin T2 are on the neutral side and lack a bit of warmth, i gave a look to the graph and they are flat like a surf board..not exactly a strong bass iem.

    Bass Bomb!

They are both great iem's and actually I am thinking about getting a pair of FH5 for me but for a teenager who doesn't take great care of his stuff (like most teenagers i guess) i am not sure they would be a good option. I am looking for something up to $50. Hi @baskingshark , the TFZ T2 were...

    Bass Bomb!

Good evening everyone, I couple of days ago I was with my nephew and I let him try my new iem's (kxxs), of course he found them "bass light" (he's a basshead like most of teenagers I guess). So I didn't even offer him to try my Pinnacle P1, but i gave him a pair of cheap House of Marley Smile...

    Possible damage from pink noise?

It's an old post but to answer your rethorical question..YES, you have to break in shoes as well. When you buy new shoes they might feel a bit uncomfortable, after you walked with them for a while they adjust around your feet and they will feel better. Cheers

There are two more product i think they could be interesting in this price range $200-$300, the IT01s and the Ikko OH10 but at the moment i am more than happy with the KXXS :)

lol, correct. I have to give some credit to Amazon for the easy procedure to return products i decide not to keep, throu ali baba or other website most of the times you lose your money and that's it.

Hi @PaganDL , At the end i got the Moondrop KXXS. Very nice looking except for the cable that is on the cheap side but it can be changed so no big deal. The sound is very neutral, Vocals are in my opinion the highlights of these shining iems (they are shining indeed, under the sun they reflect...

High Impedance Adapter or MMCX Cable in the UK?

Don't know if you solved the problem but just in case: Plug the adaptor into the V30 first and then plug the headphones into the adaptor. It should activate the aux mode on the V30. To check the impedance your V30 is reading download this app...

    LG V40 ThinQ

@Alabama your WH1000 are 46ohm so very close to the 50 ohm "officially" required from the V series smartphones to trigger the High Impedance. What i am saying is that for some reason the V40 (at least the one i own) triggers the High Impedance Mode already at 30 ohms. Saturday I will receive...

    LG V40 ThinQ

Gentlemen, I have been literally fighting to trick the High Impedance mode since I put my hands on the V10 years ago, I do now know all the possible solutions to do that. Now I have in front of me my LGV30, my LGV40, a pair of Marshal Mode iem (30ohms) a pair of House of Marley Smile (16ohm)...

    LG V40 ThinQ

I did not have time to read the whole thread so i don't know if this info has already been shared but for some reason the V40 enables the High Impedance Mode when it detects headphones above 30ohms while for the V30 it takes around 50ohms.

Hi @baskingshark , I do know that chi-fi is improving and doing well, the thing is I had a couple of problems with two chinese products and customer care was a disaster, so i have lost some confidence, plus whenever i can i try and support western economies. However let's see how this product...
