Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

I myself run my Golds through my WM1A's 4.4 connection. There's a very, very faint hiss on standby, but when music comes on it's definitely not noticeable.

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

That was a quick decision! Please do give us your thoughts soon. I love my Solaris but the fit sometimes bugs me. If there's not a massively noticeable difference between the two then I might not drop 2000 on these...

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

Has anyone seen the new Solaris? Haven't caught up with this in a while, are there any new features to it? Don't think the nozzle changed, so I 't think comfort will be the same compared to the original Solaris.

I was still Hong Kong two weeks ago and many retailers have them in stock. Hopefully you’ll find a pair.

Great pickup! Not sure about foams on the Andromedas though (or like, any IEMs I own), maybe I just love my variety of silicone and hybrid tips. Anyway, if you really wanted to test any differences between Campfire's Marshmallow eartips you could order a pair on their website, it may or may not...

I second removing the foam on the Symbio Ws. Although I've been using AET07's on them and are loving them. Or you could try putting foam inside the spiral dots...?

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

After somewhat frequent and reluctant a/b-ing between my 4.4mm cable and my Gold 16 3.5mm on the Andromeda Golds, I’ve decided to settle with my 4.4mm cable with them. Although there is some part of the warmth and overall musicality that the cable brings, I still think that the 4.4mm makes the...

oof, yea I've always been reluctant to try out a bunch of cables on my IEMs because I've just been afraid of wearing them out :P

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

Decided to try a few ALO cables on the Gold Andros (Smoky Litz, Regular Litz Cable, Super Litz Cable and Gold 16), on 3.5mm unbalanced. I'll just say that the Super Litz Cable is, in my opinion, the worst pairing out of the four here. While I got to hear just a bit more detail in the midrange...

That's awful... hopefully you'll find it soon. :(

I haven't heard the latter so I can't exactly give a good response, but I tried my current Hugo 2 under usb output, which is through a usb chain (micro usb to usb, usb-f to usb-c) connected to my S10+ at the time. Maybe I haven't heard any better, but it was better than the Mojo I had for 2...

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

I would somewhat agree to this, although I have nothing to back it up. I bought my 1A and subsequent ZX300 when I first wanted better equipment when I haven't had the opportunity to try out other manufacturer's DAPs. I ended up trying AK's SP1000 and SP1000M just 2 weeks ago and I have to say I...

Amazing Andromeda family! When I convinced my friend to get into “good” IEMs, he got a Snow White Andromeda right off the bat. I’m still very jealous of him, at least now I can also have my own impressions of both pairs when I get the chance.

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

Yea I think they’ve (CA) made the change to swap all the newer nozzles to this longer one. All the new ones this (previous?) year I think all have the same nozzle, like the IO, Polaris V2 and the Solaris also has a long nozzle. My Atlas also has a similar grill, maybe they’ve also made the...

The Andro Golds don't seem to differ a lot from the OG Andros as far as I remember in terms of size. They fit just as nice and perfectly in my ear as with all similar-looking CA IEMs. Looking at you Solaris.

Right now I'm trying the unbalanced source with the Andro Gold's stock Smokey Litz Cable and at Volume 20 on the 1A I am hearing a very slight hiss. I would say the situation on the ZX300 is the same for me. Similar levels of hiss, with both at Volume 20. It's not quite at the same level as...

That sounds like exactly what I want from listening to music! Thanks, I'll try it out on all 3 IEMs soon.

Ashamed to say I've never tried to use those settings before. Would you mind explaining how they'd affect the sound?

They actually don't sound as V-shaped to me as I thought it would! I do have a 4.4mm cable hooked up to my Shures right now, but I'll put them on my Gold Andros and try them out on some songs. I'll try to get back to you. Currently, I use an IEMatch to reduce the hiss (it actually wasn't there...

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

After taking my dear time to listen to the Atlas, Solaris and Andro Golds for 6 hours in I think I can give my very initial impressions about how the Andro Golds compare to the other two. The Andro Golds have a very lively presentation. The bass is much more prominent than the OG Andros from...

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

I think people who want Andro quality mids/highs and want a much more extending and fulfilling bass would love the Golds. I would agree that while the Solaris is very much a lifelike gig, the Golds would be a very engaging musical. But I do agree that while the bass (on the Golds) enhances the...

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

That’s great! I rarely bring any of my higher-end IEMs out in the wild anymore, I end up sticking with my cheaper ones like the Billie Jean, although recently I’ve found myself attached to Sony’s new Noise Cancelling Earbuds. Sometimes I feel like I treat my IEMs so well but things just happen...

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

Unfortunately (or fortunately?), I don’t drink, so I can’t blame liquor for it. That time was when I worked a bit hard for the day and slept while I took my Polaris out. I usually plugged it into my phone while I’m on the bus. Anyway, I woke up just when it was about to leave my stop so I left...

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

I used to own the Polaris v1s, and while I don't really remember how those sounded, I tried the Polaris V2s for an hour or two during my time in Japan. I found the bass to be more than sufficient for my taste, but I found the sound the be loose and seemed like it was all over the place. Strange...
