Yes it is likely that the dac/amp provided by the store wasnt doing justice to the HD800. However considering the price gap between Sundara and HD800, I would take Sundara at any time.

Topping nx4 seems to have 260 mW on 32 Ohm. I dont think thats enough for Sundara. I need at least 400 mW. Fiio A5 seems legit.

Just got the Sundaras today. With 2 year warranty just in case of those infamous driver failures. Out of the box they sound ****ing splendid on my Fiio A3. However I have to put the Fiio on High Gain mode and I dont like that. Is there any other good amp which would drive sundara properly...
