Chord Mojo 2 Thread ___ [product released January 31, 2022 -- starting on page 95 of thread]
so looking at the specs I would call this more of a revision than a successor to the mojo. I would expect the performance to be more on hugo 2 level after 7 years from the original mojo.- soundperfection

mp3 sounds better than flac for modern (loudness boosted) music
my mp3s are all at 320kbs so they arent superlow bitrate.. maybe the mp3 does cut out some info in the upper regestries that makes them abit softer or something compared to flac- soundperfection

mp3 sounds better than flac for modern (loudness boosted) music
ye Im starting to think so too. Its seems like the bad stuff in the recording does come out more on flac and that the mp3 doesnt bring it out as much. Similar to more high res gear tends to bring out the bad stuff in poor recodings than non hifi stuff.- soundperfection

mp3 sounds better than flac for modern (loudness boosted) music
So I have a pretty good mobile listening setup with chord mojo+poly with a few high end iems and I discovered something strange. It seems when I listen to modern music that has been loudness boosted and devoided of dynamic range actually sounds abit better and smoother on 320kbs mp3 than flac...- soundperfection

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
its about pairing too. If u have a bright treble focused sounding iem or headphone hugo 2 probably wont be a good match with it since it is also on the brighter side. And something like the mojo would be a better match for it with its more warm sound and relaxed treble.- soundperfection

crinacle's IEM Ranking List
ye well folks can prefer alot of odd tonalities but it doesnt mean its gonna be ranked high if it doesnt sound correct and has alot of information missing uptop. You can make treble extended and smooth if its done right, but to cut it off is another story.- soundperfection

RAZ's TOTL review and rambles thread, on life support
ye usually iems that are made Could that possible have anything to do with fit and insertion depth of the uni elysium or perhaps different material of the shell. Usually shallow inserts results in more harshness. Have also heard that people found the u12t to sound better than a12t custom.- soundperfection

Problem with foam is that tho it does tame the treble it also kills the extension. Therefore I always look for iem that hit my preference with silicone tips.- soundperfection

I always judge iems based on high end silicone tips like sedna and final e tips. Obviously foam tips are known treble killers but if u need to use foam tips then you know there are issues in the treble to begin with.- soundperfection
