I own the flagship DX300 and I just bought the M3X for more portable use cases and I must say that though I am not a fan of Shanling stuff, the sound that comes from this little device is very good to my ears.

I am doing the same as you. I don't have the time to sell so just gonna toss it to a corner. The R&D process is so poor. DSD is not playing on mine in any venues. Yes I encountered the same issue with Samsung Galaxy S10+. It is getting quite annoying to me as well. Sometimes the sound drops every 10 15 minutes. Is there a fix to this otherwise this thing is useless (despite the fact that I enjoy the sound sig so far)?

Sorry no I have never owned the Hip DAC. The Monarch will require a bit of decent power to be driven. My listenable volume level on DX300 at high gain is 43-45/100 (usually my U12T requires less power for example).

Oh absolutely. That has been my daily driver /pair-up. Monarch is my personal 2020 favorite IEM and with DX300 = chef kiss.
