    Thank you for such a detailed take. I think I'd love the Philips but I'm not looking to spend more money. The 681EVO and 330 are around the same price which is why I'm even considering them. I wouldn't be using my headphones for gaming, I just really like music and have headphones on my head...

    Where do I solder the red and orange wires?

    Soldered the red to the right metal bar(where you can see something was), and the orange(ground?) to where the white wire is. Left and right channels seem to be working properly.
