Mp3tag tools can help to reduce the dimensions of embedded album art in FLAC and DSD files in bulk. Also use any bulk image resizer tool to reduce the dimensions of album art files inside album folders.

If he is an expert or tech geek his statements should reflect that which is not evident here. I'm not referring to his review on the faulty unit which didn't watch it yet. Generalising things based on someone's subjective assessments and OCD beliefs can't be appreciated here in public forum like...

This is true with most DAPs out there. Works on very few models but mostly EQ doesn't work with Hi-Res and DSD files.

This seems like a known issue. Facing the same behavior from early versions of the firmware and continues with the latest version. During scanning disable sleep and turn it on post scanning is over. Alternately as you mentioned can tap on the screen prevent sleep.
