hmmm shouldnt it be the other way round? At the very lest I found the noir to be lacking in lower treble. But of the 2 evils I would rather take the noir over the regular pilgrim that has treble extension but has a nice hole in the upper bass/lower mids.

I mean the week between demos the glacier is alot more coherent over the dominating bass on first open so yes it requires a period of break in. I'll wait till after canjam SG to try again since its likely to be used a bunch and see if the bass still sounds like mush after that.

They are right imo that it reveals Arya but if it isnt the sound you want there isnt much point in keeping it since its going to be thin transparent and revealing. In the end its a matter of taste.

Just got the EF500 as well and would like to know as well. Still buring it in but the sound signature is like a nice mix of EF600 dry precise and serenades smooth hyped uped sound. One not that good thing is the very focused soundstage. Can be fixed with tubes but that would mean extra amps...
