Brainwavz oval fit fine. They are just a little bigger therefore looser, but it's not a problem. Any cable with 2.5mm connectors will fit, I was using Meze 99 cable because of the microphone. I'll be selling mine Tagos if anyone would be interested. Haven't had time to put up an ad yet...

Well, as I said before it happens even when there is no input plugged in so it can't be the RCA cables (which never did that before). And when I unplug the headphones (which never did that before) it cuts off immediately. The only thing left is to wrap up the 789 in aluminium to see if it helps...

Has anyone experienced the 789 picking up interference from mobile phone signal? It happens during every call even without any input plugged in. The phone is not even that close to it. I'm really surprised because I have never experienced anything like that with any amp.

I didn't realize Audio-GD uses Alps RK27 pots. Seems you are right the only choice is NFB-11/R2R11. It's pretty sad there's no alternative to Audio-GD. Thank you for advices
