Odd, the Amp8MKII is supposed to deliver a bit more bass boost. Perhaps the ears tips do not seal well, you could try a different pair. I had actually been looking at Moondrop Variations, as an upgrade alternative, but now I'm thinking of buying the Yanyin Canon.
