It could be their measuring equipment I suppose. After digging around, someone had some bass rolloff with the suede pads too until he ran the test again. Turns out the seal on his first run wasn't perfect. go figure.

Congrats again Dan! Question though: that review found some bass rolloff when using the suede pads in the pad comparison graph. is that consistent with your/other's findings?

If its just for basic stuff like gaming, I use the sony clip-on mic so I don't have to worry about how it fits with my headphones. My voice (but also ambient noise) is very clear to people I play with. really good for the price imo...

looks like Joshua Valour just got his hands on these, if anyone is interested in what he has to say. Josh seems to gravitate more towards more "colored" or "punchy" headphones though.

I pulled the trigger on some suede pads. Will throw my $0.02 into the bucket after they get in and I test them out. I'm optimistic they will add just a bit of softness/warmth that I find myself craving using the Ether 2 with Topping D50/THX AAA 789.

I am feeling the same way. They just have the exact amount of everything I want from my personal audio. They are just so transparent but without any rough edges, and do everything as well as I could hope for. I'm just here for the gushing and circlejerking.
