Hey Guys, Tube question: For the MZ3, which is going to have a greater influence over the amp sound via tube rolling? The input tubes (stock 12AT7).....or the output tubes (stock 12SN7)?

Looks like a killer deal. What's the difference between their Encore version, versus, their Kenzie OG version(s)? I see this one has a pre-amp. And the Kenzie OG does not. Also, looks like the headphone input jacks on the Encore version are much better placed, in the front of the AMP...

Question for you all. Can you just use the Equalizer APO?, and not even have any EQ Profile turned on? Would there be an issue in that? For example, I have the APO installed on my default device. But I do not want any preamplification changes to my system, and, I do NOT want EQ Profiles...

Were you just trying to avoid the USB from your PC direct to your ARESII? Iris isn't that expensive, so I could give it a go with COAX or OPTICAL. Are most people trying to avoid usb? I've only ever used USB from my PC, straight to the ARESII. It has me wondering if I am missing out on...

What connection are/were you using between the Iris and ARESII? I have the OG ARESII without i2s. So, I wasn't sure if the Iris was worth it, to feed the ARESII since I can't use the Iris i2s output. I assume the ARESII is optimized for the USB input.

I just checked mine, my MZ3 #100. I just realized this, but my MZ3 is #100 and so are my Sennheiser hd8xx (#100). Which I use all the time with the MZ3. It was meant to be.

Interesting, just curious, what kind of volume level are you normally at with the MZ3 when driving your HD800s to a comfortable listening level?

Hi Tano, yes, @elnero is correct. It is a ZMF co-pilot pad. It barely fits the headband width of the HP-3. I am using two velcro strips to keep it on snug. It is just a temporary solution, but it does make it very comfortable to wear the HP-3 (a big improvement over the stock headband...

I am impressed with the MZ3. Received it yesterday. The sound is amazing so far, much more filled in and 3D as compared to my THX789 (from what I can tell). Clear/clean sound, with tube sound rolled in. No background noise. Listening with Focal Clear at the moment.

Added leather headband pad, to an otherwise very nice headphone. The stock headband gets too uncomfortable for me. Had to go aftermarket for comfort.
