ASUS Xonar Essence STX II
I have tried the Burson opamps, but these are colored the sound. Without opamps is the sound of STXII more natural. I think the STXII is so good soundcard that you don’t need any modification.- nadtom

EVGA Nu Audio soundcard
Hi, I had both soundcard’s (same time) im my audio pc but no question, STXII is definitely better. I have changed the opamp as well in my STXII (Burson. Vivid, Classic tested), but the original opamp is the best. You need a good poweramp after STXII and it can be a final solution.- nadtom

ASUS Xonar Essence STX II
I think every sound system is different. I always invite my wife to test of the new devices, cables, opamps, etc. to avoid the subjective opinion/feeling (if it was expensive --> has to be good :relaxed:). We had a same opinion in case of Burson (Classic and Vivid). The Vivid was a little bit...- nadtom

ASUS Xonar Essence STX II
My STXII is in a Audio PC, so 7pcs linear low noise power supply, clock generators on the main boards, etc... I use the RCA output of the STXII (I think it is the best option), so the signal goes to my power amp (NAD M25), front speakers Elac 249.3. The Burson color the sound, and will be not so...- nadtom

I have tested the dual V6 Burson opamp’s (Classic, Vivid) but sold these because the original was better. I haven’t got any noise problem with opamp’s.- nadtom

EVGA Nu Audio soundcard
If you mean the surround=soundstage, than it is a big advantage of STX II compare to my previous system (in case of stereo music). If you mean surround=7.1 card to STXII than I don’t know because I use a Yamaha CX A5100 processor for movie (I have an Atmos setup). I use microphone to measure...- nadtom

Reply to review by 'nadtom' on item 'Burson Audio Supreme Sound Opamp V6 Vivid and Classic'
I have tested in my Asus STX II the vivid and the classic dual V6 opamp, but the original opamp was better in both cases. The Burson only color the sound but you lose the natural sound.- nadtom

Topping NX4
Dear All, I plan to buy a Topping NX4 dac/amp. I would like to us it between my Ipad and AR-H1 headphone. I listen Tidal (Hifi) on my Ipad. Question: with the NX4 will be definitely better the sound (If I us the NX4 dac as well)? So worth it to buy? Thank you!- nadtom

Creative SoundBlasterX AE-9
Ok, I got it. I’m waiting for full review. My favorite is the STXII, I’m looking for a competitor. :) Nu Audio sound card is not a real competitor of my STX II. I have bought Burson Vivid and Classic dual opamp also (for my STXII) but was not better than the original opamps.- nadtom

I'm not only think, I know it, because I have heard it... :) I was skepical also, when I heard about it first time, I said: nice fairy tale... After the tests I didn't believe in my ears firs time, second time.....but this is. I always involve my wife in the tests (to avoid bias), and she had a...- nadtom

EVGA Nu Audio soundcard
Yes, of course. In my Audio PC was a special USB card (with linear power supply, and with clock generator). After the Audio PC I had an Audiobyte Hydra Z USB Bridge with the original power supply (Hydra ZPM). After that a Hegel HD12 Dac + Hegel P20 preamp.- nadtom
