    Tube advice

decided I wanted to test a tube amp and see what my jubilees sound like. Jumped in on the dark voice that’s a few months off from massdrop. I watched a zeos review of tubes and really enjoyed the sound of the ken rad and a mysterious 1954 tube. Does anyone have any more info on them or can...

    Friendly advice

Looking to get a pair of decent headphones for my place. They will play double duty on my pc as well and I’m leaning towards the sennheiser’s 660s . They will also be my go to for my pc needs as well. Never owned any over the ear cans before so just asking if these will work for my needs.

    Review samples

Just asking to ask but when companies offer the loaner program so people can review what are they looking for in a reviewer? I’m just curious because I would like to see reviews from beginners that may just be learning the lingo and descriptions that are more in layman’s terms so to speak. I’m...

    Is it just me?

I’m still new to hi res music so perhaps it’s all in my head but it could be the few tracks I’ve compared could be the difference. Heck, could even be my gear...I was just thinking out loud but I’m glad there are open minded people in this forum to discuss this. Im still in the camp that my flac...

    Is it just me?

Is there a point of no return once you start listening to flac files? When comparing flac to my mp3 files I hear the differences, but cant tell any real difference from a dsd file. Anyone else feel the same? Could just be me and my ears.

    iTunes alternatinves

Can y'all recommend a good online alternative than iTunes for Flac file music? I've been using hdtracks but I'm starting to see their limitations in music selection.

Andromedas...too big of a leap for a beginner?

Received my Andromeda’s today and WOW! It’s like night and day comparing them the my triple fi’s. I understand what y’all mean about the hiss but it’s not a deal breaker for me using the q1 but I could see how it could bother people. They fit comfortably and I had them on for about 3 hours just...

THE best female vocals? (your favorite female singers)

Ashley Barrett on the Vocals is always magic...to me anyways. She has another track on this album called paperboats and it’s up there in my top 3 favorite songs. Just in a mood tonight and this song was one of the 2 from her I felt like posting.

Andromedas...too big of a leap for a beginner?

I know I’m somewhat new to higher end audio but I compare it to photography. A lot of what makes both fun is everyone can have an opinion on what’s great regardless if they have the best gear or not.

Andromedas...too big of a leap for a beginner?

Just ordered the es100’s. Hopefully this all works itself out and my q1 can just stay connected to my pc. Reviews for it all seem very positive and I greatly appreciate the suggestion.

Andromedas...too big of a leap for a beginner?

My fascination with”high end” audio reminds me a lot of my pc hobby. So much to customize and never being 100% satisfied even if you have the best equipment because something new and better is always coming out. I’m having a lot of fun reading reviews for new dacs at the moment. Makes me smile...

Andromedas...too big of a leap for a beginner?

Thanks for the heads up on the hiss concern. My CA’s should be here Monday so I really need to do some research to replace my q1. I appreciate all the recommendations and will be reading about all of them this weekend. The ES 100 seem really interesting to me considering I never once considered...

Andromedas...too big of a leap for a beginner?

I don’t live near any place that would have a set for me to try. Theres a guitar center somewhat close but they’re hit or miss on what they have. Now I’ve owned a few pairs of shures that were nice in the past that I was able to try from GC but that’s all they seem to have there. I have a FiiO...

Andromedas...too big of a leap for a beginner?

thanks for the advice and the ergonomics is something I've been thinking about a lot. Im leaning Andromeda but i see CA's return policy is decent if worse come to worse.

Andromedas...too big of a leap for a beginner?

Ive decided to upgrade from my triple fi10s. I'm just curious if I'm making too big of a leap or should i just dive in? I wonder if maybe i should just jump all the way to the Solaris. my budget is the solaris but im just a rookie and looking for some friendly advice.

    Good dilemma to have

so I’ve had a pair of UE triple fi’s for about a year and now I’m ready to replace them. I want another pair of iems. I think I have it narrowed down to the Campfires Andromeda green ones. I’m really looking for something clean and fun to listen to. Any suggestions would be greatly...
