I'm planning on buying the DX7s and using the two big outputs on the back(XLR?) to connect to a STAX SRM-353X. If I do this will the device just work as a DAC for the Stax while still being an Amp/DAC for the headphone outputs on the front of the unit?

Turns out she has some headphones so I set up the stand there for a picture :smile: Might be a bit much for just my HD600 right now but I plan on getting more and really like how you can swivel...

This sounds noticeably different from the smaller tubes? Well I guess that's not very specific since those have different sounds from each other but I read that bigger tubes sound wider. Love how this looks :smile:

Right now, I prefer metal, the standard "stand" and height to work with an HD600 if you know any that fit the bill. Thank you for the replies, I think I'll take a look through that thread and try to find one that suits my needs as well.

Had no idea tubes could change how the sounds are, that's very interesting. This is my first amplifier so I don't really have anything to compare it with, I believe the tube on mine is an Amperex Bugle Boy. Going to look around to see what other tubes I can use with it, should probably do some...
