Apple Airpods Max
Nice to hear that. How sibilant the Aipords? As I wrote in my initial post, the PX7 are borderline in this respect. For this reason, I want to find out how these cans compare related to this issue, all the more because due to Covid I am not able to audition the cans.- SylvesterH

Apple Airpods Max
Did someone compare it with B&W PX7? Those are my main wireless cans. I like them but the highs are quite fatiguing to my ears. I`m a bit of a bass head (quantity but also quality). Do the Airpods provide in this area?- SylvesterH

Hifiman DEVA - Official Thread
Thanks for the replies, I do have many cans, some open (HD800S, AKG K812, Sundara, LCD2C and more) some closed (Sony MDR-Z7 Mk2, Meze 99 Classic) and some wireless (Sony WH-1000M3 and B&W PX7). I am very pleased with my wired cans but the wireless part is ok for travel but that's it. What I'm...- SylvesterH

Oppo HA-1 Impressions Thread
Being a pure class A amplifier the heat is normal. Mine heats up as well and have no issues with it. I guess it was engineered in such a manner to be able to cope with high temperatures.- SylvesterH

Oppo HA-1 Impressions Thread
I still use as DAC and also HP amp. Although I also have the Sonica built around the newer ess9038 Pro the perceived difference does not worth the hassle. The perceived sonic difference is minimal to me. I use it with HD800 S, AKG K812, Focal Elear and LCD2C. I auditioned some much more...- SylvesterH

Hifiman DEVA - Official Thread
I`m looking for some good wireless headphones. I researched the Hifiman Ananda BT and Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless but for various reasons I skipped both. I do have right now the Sony wh1000-xm3 and B&W PX7 which are ok for commuting but that's it. I also have the Sundara, which I like. What...- SylvesterH

Same here, Sonarworks does a very fine job with the K812 and also with HD800s, not so fine with LCD2C.- SylvesterH

Same here. The LCD2C lacks slam and without equalization it seems to me to be somehow shouty. Plus, the Audeze is much harder to drive. I use my Fiio X7 mk2 to great satisfaction with the Z7M2, but its shouty and lacking presence with the Audeze. A good desktop amp (in my case Oppo Ha-1) solves...- SylvesterH

I really like those cans and mind you that I also use a HD800s and AKG K812. At the beginning I was not impressed but it really grew on me. I can safely say that those are right now my most used cans.- SylvesterH

Sorry for my insistence, But how bright the Denon is? I found a good deal for the d9200 so I can get 1000€ cheaper than the Sony. To be honest, it is very tempting. I also have the Hifiman Sundara which I consider acceptable. Is it brighter than the Sundara?- SylvesterH

Looking for high end wireless phones
Hi guys, I have many headphones, open, closed, dynamic, planar. What I prefer right now are the Sennheiser HD800s for open, Oppo PM-1 for planar and Sony Z7M2 for closed phones (I will upgrade my closed also, but that is a different story). What I`m lacking are some really good wireless cans...- SylvesterH

So you would recommend the Z1R. To be honest I`m leaning to it myself. I am not really about bright cans. My brightest can is the Sundara which I find to be a border line case relative to brightness.- SylvesterH
