Dang it, looks like I can't bring HE6 because I'm getting my adapters sent in for fixing unless someone happens to have an SMC cable for the old Hifimans.

    HIFIMAN HE6se Loaner tour

Hi, I would love to try this out as I have the original HE-6 with me right now. It would be great to try different pads out on both such as the focuspad, palipad, etc. and also different amplifiers and do a little comparison. I'm located in San Francisco, California United States.

SF South Bay Meet - Saturday, November 3, 2018 Impressions

Another meet would be great. I have a few friends who aren't on headfi, but can bring gear, so a bigger location would be nice.

    A companion to Hifiman HE1000

Utopia is a great contender. I also have the HE1000, and am currently looking for Utopia to complement it. Maybe even Hifiman HE-6 is a good complement due to its slam, but those are hard to find.

    Most consumer friendly flagship?

I'd say ZMF Atticus. Its got relaxing, dark treble, a mid bass hump, and a very smooth mid range. Perfect for your average Joe.

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

I saw a post where Zach said he actually preferred the Suede Eikon Pads on the Atticus. I wonder if the perforated lambskin is any good as those are the most comfortable and less hot pads for me.

Audio Technica ATH-M50X question about this model - discussion thread

The M50 is pretty easy to drive. Maybe your motherboard has a built in amp? Some have them built in.

I Think My Headphones are Broke.

I think you probably just prefer big soundstage. For gaming, the K712 looks great!

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

Interesting, are you talking about the Suede Ori pads or something else? The other materials look interesting too such as Perforated Lambskin.

End Game Headphone - Thought Experiment - Knowledge and Experience Sought

According to a lot of people, Elex is much better than Elear and some even prefer it to the Clears. Most people I've talked to don't really like the Aeon as it has numerous problems. Can't say myself as I haven't heard any of these besides the Elear. The Elear seemed like it was really dipped in...

End Game Headphone - Thought Experiment - Knowledge and Experience Sought

If you like the HD 650s, maybe go for the Focal Elex on MD. I haven't tried them myself, but so far other people who have upgraded have been very satisfied, and it seems like a very good value.

    LCD-X vs Focal Clear

Yes, the Clear fit on my "larger than average" head perfectly. However, I used the old LCD-X with the older headband. I have not tried the new ones.

    LCD-X vs Focal Clear

If you can deal with the comfort and you really like the bass presentation, I would keep the LCD-X. Also, apparently the Elex on Massdrop has a better frequency response than the Clear and sounds better for cheaper, but I haven't heard it yet.

    LCD-X vs Focal Clear

Switching to the Clear, you will find a lot less bass and a lot more treble. The LCD-X is a dark headphone with meaty bass. The Clear is more balanced and also a lot comfortable due to weight if that's important to you. The Clear overall I would say is more detailed and even.

    Massdrop x Hifiman edition xx

Frequency response looks worse than the HEX, dipped at 1-2k. Also, not a fan of the old headband. Going to have to find one myself to test out. As of now, I'm skeptical.

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

Glad you found the issue early on. Glad you found the issue and it wasn't the headphone. That's an interesting problem with the Mimby tho.

ZMF Vérité and aeolus - GIVEAWAY! & Pre Order starts November 16th

These look great. The Aeolus really caught my eye as the Atticus was already so good.

Damn that sucks, hopefully Zach can fix you up. At least the KSC75 is solid tho. Good luck
