Agreed, don't know why it took me this long to get a top tier cable. The Abyss TC certainly deserved an equally capable partner.

It's a hefty cable and will add some weight. Doesn't really bother me as I usually lean back while listening to music. Does anyone know if the D8000 pro's are compatible with ZMF/Audeze/Rosson pads? I find the foam on the stock pads quite stiff and uncomfortable. Hopping to swap to something like the pads on the RAD-0 which were really plush and comfortable.

They're placed right beside me for a reason. These are the best multipurpose headphones I own :beyersmile:

I started with 216 but it was so comfortable I didn't want to go through the hassle of swapping it. Btw, pm'ed you.

So.. after about a week with the new headband trying to stretch the o-rings out, it didn't expand enough to where it felt even remotely comfortable. Worst of all, the rings were so tight I couldn't toe-in the drivers which was my preferred configuration. I ended up ordering a bunch of O-rings...

I use the LTA MZ3 as a preamp to a Pass XA25 stereo amp. Great pairing for the TC.

The GS-X Mini at 5w into 50ohms is more than enough to drive Susvara. What I think (and I'm probably totally off on this), is that bass draws a lot more power from an amplifier than the rest of the frequency curve. When I had the HA-300, the VU meters would swing wildly when it was a bass...

There is sub bass and mid bass. The Susvara has slightly better extension but lacks the bass punch that is present on the D8000 Pro.

Great thanks! I've been looking for a replacement to my current adaptor. Susvara Bass quantity is lower compared to TC and even to the D8000 Pro. Susvara bass quantity is around the same level as Utopia. In my experience, a speaker amp does help to improve the dynamics of the Susvara.

Yea, my personal preference for sound only. How hifiman got Susvara to sound so good while being so comfortable is a mystery to me.
