For those who ordered the headband from Beautiful Audio, how long did it take to ship? Thanks.

    Forza AudioWorks Impressions Thread

Hi Matez, what I meant was, I bought the Noir Hybrid HPC directly from Forza Audioworks in late July 2020 and I'm trying to find out if that cable I bought includes the "new hybrid wires with hand woven damping core made of Java cotton" as stated on the Forza Audioworks website. Thanks!

    Forza AudioWorks Impressions Thread

Hi Guys, I bought the Noir Hybrid HPC in July 2020 for my Final D8000 Pros. I'm trying to find out if they include the following: "All new orders will be upgraded free of charge to new hybrid wires with hand woven damping core made of Java cotton for improved bass definition and focused high...

    Double Helix Cables Thread

Agreed, don't know why it took me this long to get a top tier cable. The Abyss TC certainly deserved an equally capable partner.

    Double Helix Cables Thread

It's a hefty cable and will add some weight. Doesn't really bother me as I usually lean back while listening to music. Getting the cable in it's stock configuration (i.e. without the splitter) would help with weight distribution I suspect. Here's Peter's reply to me regarding this: "For 6.3 or 4...

    Double Helix Cables Thread

Ordered the Prion 4 at the end of Nov'20 and it arrived a few days before Christmas (~25 days) and Peter was very responsive throughout the whole process, including after the order was made. Build quality on the cable is second to none and feels extremely premium. The sterling silver 3D printed...

Final Audio D8000 Planar Magnetic Headphone

Does anyone know if the D8000 pro's are compatible with ZMF/Audeze/Rosson pads? I find the foam on the stock pads quite stiff and uncomfortable. Hopping to swap to something like the pads on the RAD-0 which were really plush and comfortable.

They're placed right beside me for a reason. These are the best multipurpose headphones I own

I started with 216 but it was so comfortable I didn't want to go through the hassle of swapping it. Btw, pm'ed you.

The JPS Labs: Abyss AB-1266 Impressions Thread

So.. after about a week with the new headband trying to stretch the o-rings out, it didn't expand enough to where it felt even remotely comfortable. Worst of all, the rings were so tight I couldn't toe-in the drivers which was my preferred configuration. I ended up ordering a bunch of O-rings...

I use the LTA MZ3 as a preamp to a Pass XA25 stereo amp. Great pairing for the TC.

    HiFiMan Susvara

The GS-X Mini at 5w into 50ohms is more than enough to drive Susvara. What I think (and I'm probably totally off on this), is that bass draws a lot more power from an amplifier than the rest of the frequency curve. When I had the HA-300, the VU meters would swing wildly when it was a bass...

    HiFiMan Susvara

There is sub bass and mid bass. The Susvara has slightly better extension but lacks the bass punch that is present on the D8000 Pro.

    HiFiMan Susvara

Great thanks! I've been looking for a replacement to my current adaptor. Susvara Bass quantity is lower compared to TC and even to the D8000 Pro. Susvara bass quantity is around the same level as Utopia. In my experience, a speaker amp does help to improve the dynamics of the Susvara.

    HiFiMan Susvara

Nice! Do you know where he got his direct speaker cable adaptor from?

    HiFiMan Susvara

Yea, my personal preference for sound only. How hifiman got Susvara to sound so good while being so comfortable is a mystery to me.
  20. GuyForkes

    HiFiMan Susvara

The D8000 Pro matches Susvara and TC in the technical areas except soundstage where the difference is noticeable. In many ways, D8000 Pro reminds me of a planar Utopia, immediate sounding, dynamic with excellent imaging. Susvara is smoother and more "rounded" and "analogue" sounding but this...

    HiFiMan Susvara

I haven't tried the Susvara with the WA22 but the power output does seem insufficient on paper. I do occasionally run it off the gsx mini and it sounds good but not as good as when I run it off the Pass XA25 which does a better job with regards to staging and dynamics. You could try running...

    HIFIMAN HE-R10 Closed-Back Headphones Discussion & Impressions

My Susvara has been with me since the start of 2018 and the only thing I've done was replace the pads in early 2020 and even that was covered by Hifiman. My Abyss TC which was purchased a year later than Susvara has already undergone 2 rounds of driver replacements and a broken headband which...
