Here, here - Robs/Chord DACs really scale well with the quality of music server / source, and I’m pretty sure that a lot of folks haven’t fully optimised this yet. So far, nothing I’ve tried images as realistically as a Chord DAC… ASR measurements don’t appreciate that.

I’m using PGGB for upsampling

USB driver v5.0, or v5.4 on Windows only seems to allow 32 bit / 384kHz, yet X26 Pro is capable of 32 / 768. How do I sort this out? No ASIO drivers? I'm using Foobar.

Another point is that if Bifrost 2/64 is DAC8812 x 4, and Yggy LIM is also DAC8812 x 4, then why doesn’t Yiggy LIM get the 2/64 moniker? It’s confusing branding to me and I don’t understand the differences other than what’s already been stated (e.g NOS is possible on the Bifrost). I presume...

Phoenix is a great piece of kit, I’ve owned one and done all the experiments. Muon does more than the Phoenix would you believe, but you still need a darn good source (or Phoenix).

I would seriously not bother opening the Naim DAC... all you'll do is devalue it, there is nothing you can do to make it any better, other than just using it as a straight DAC and buying an external preamp. Enjoy the V1, save your money and buy a better DAC/DAP/Headphone amp when you are able...

Choice... choices.... but my opinion is that Mojo 2 will be better on all fronts. Naim DAC V1 is very old now, and the older Hugo 1 comfortable beat it IMO. However, you might like the V1 sound, it's certainly very good, or that of others DACs.... any way to know is to try. Ergonomics is up...
