Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion
at the end I went for the tacky option xD I think it looks really nice in person. The gold is subtle and the burgundy color is not too bright or pink I really like the way they sound, more than when I tested them along with the PX7s2 Relaxed but not muffled, nice sense of space around the...- MrManson85

Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion
Sorry for deviating the thread from the headband issue xD I've just tested px7s2 and px8 and, while with stock tuning I liked more the px7, after I adjusted bass and treble of the px8 to my preferences, I think the px8 is indeed a superior headphone with more room/soundstage and...- MrManson85

Yep to me the OH10 sound really similar to the Hype2 To the point that I have to A/B to try find differences Got first the OH10 brand new for 126£ off Amazon last year. Aside from the cable, which is quite horrible, they easily feel like a 200+ set- MrManson85

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
I never heard (but also never looked for) of silent reviews of the 1st gen... But everything can be! My 1st gen is a 5xxx S/N and the 2nd gen a 37xxx and they sound nothing alike. Anyway, I went through a quick direct comparison between T90 / T1 and Edition XS / Arya As I remember both Edition...- MrManson85

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
I've both because they sound different enough to justify it for me. The 1.2 sounds thicker in the midbass even a bit muffled compared to the T1. But at the same time is a more relaxed experience It depends on what kind of sound you prefer I like more brighter headphones so if I had to choose...- MrManson85

IEM for metal music and hard rock - ultimate solution
if you have 84£ /99$ lying around you might want to check the RE800. I think they work pretty well for metal. I mainly listen to Dream Theater/Epica/Nightwish/Dimmu Borgir. So things with plenty of instruments. The RE800 dissect everything wonderfully. They've got some magic- MrManson85

The discovery thread!
Continuing my trend of re-discovering the past, here is a set that arrived today... Straight from 2017 Behold the Hifiman RE800 aka "I had to buy something for Black Friday" So, to start, cable is... lol never mind. Then, they weigh nothing, it seems that they will fall apart any moment and I'm...- MrManson85

The discovery thread!
With the arrival of the MP-145 I started to rediscover all others IEMs which I have, for comparisons. Aaaaand long story short, to me the OH10 is overall the best among them. It's wide, with an opulent bass. Warm yet not oppressive, sub bass is there when needed. It even separates and position...- MrManson85

The discovery thread!
These popped up in my mailbox yesterday. I've got them on Kickstarter for 132 £ including also the little dongle (which is super cute btw) At this price they were a steal! All thx to this thread, though maybe it was better to not know. Did I really need another pair of IEM? ^^ Anyway they sound...- MrManson85

Moondrop in-ear monitors Impressions Thread
Ahah thx! In the past, I was not so impressed by the HiFiman RE400 which was highly praised. I then moved to sure 215 (too muddy) to the 535 (where is the bass?) and then exasperated I went to the 846, which was sort of 535 with bass. Given how much it cost me I settled there for a few years and...- MrManson85

Moondrop in-ear monitors Impressions Thread
Hi. I'm shocked right now. Got the Aria, Aria snow and Kato on the table. I'm trying the Aria for now and omg. Speaking of sound and obviously for my personal preferences, this thing blew my 846 away immediately. If I think how much it costs... Oh my God... Am I deaf?- MrManson85

New Beyerdynamic amp A2
Apologies I meant if "I" could only have one : D I find the Arya somehow similar to the T90, but with a better layering of the instruments, more bass and a bigger sound : ) Build quality is a bit "meh" though- MrManson85

New Beyerdynamic amp A2
Oh, I'm sorry to hear that! Hopefully, they'll send it back soon. Where are you based? Did you have to send it back all the way to Germany? I've no idea how that would work here in the UK after Brexit Regarding the T1, I really liked my T90 and always wondered how the T1 would sound...- MrManson85

I bought the A20 a couple of years ago to replace an Objective O2 and never looked back. However, I was always curious to try the A2. I finally got my chance after finding a used one for a reasonable price. This is going to be an exciting weekend!- MrManson85

Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless - The Official Thread
Just a heads up for this headphone. I quickly auditioned it and I was conquered by the sound signature. Purchased it and compared it against all my BT headphones. Ok anc might not be the best but, comfort is stellar + I don't hear my footsteps while walking. I found the sub-bass and soundstage...- MrManson85

Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion
This thread make me rediscover my P9 and my appreciation for it :D For the ones that tested both, how does the PX8 behave in terms of room and separation compared to the P9? Let me explain, I would not say the P9 has a huge soundstage, however instruments sounds well separated and there is...- MrManson85

Burn-in also plays a role in my opinion. I never believed much in burn-in (I thought it was mostly you getting used to the sound signature) until I got the P9 It sounded so weird initially, with a strange hump on the low mids. It is hard to explain but it was sounding so weird. I listened to it...- MrManson85
