Unique Melody Bone Conduction Family (MEST&MEXT and their siblings) Announcement and Impression Thread.
received the MEST today and realize the sound quality is easily affected by the ear tips. I like the comply tips a lot but they tend to degrade fast. Do you guys have any suggestions for silicon-based ear tips?- Turboturbo

FEARLESS Audio IEM's Discussion/Impressions
It is Global EQ that is well developed and executed. It works faster than the ES100 EQ app, and you have a lot more options as well, altho ES100 EQ app has a better interface. There is pretty much no lag when you adjust the inputs. I have not encountered any crashes with the app as well. It...- Turboturbo

FEARLESS Audio IEM's Discussion/Impressions
I own the idsd black label, and I think the DAC is the weakest part of it. It sounds like something developed from a long time ago. (I only use it to drive my JVC SZ2000). So it is not even fair to compare the two. Both V2 and 9038s sound so much cleaner, faster and more musical than xdsd. Both...- Turboturbo

FEARLESS Audio IEM's Discussion/Impressions
Give E1DA's Poweramp V2 (with its own EQ app) and 9038S a try, they are quite a lot better than ES100 which I also own, and will release the full potential of the Rolands.- Turboturbo

FEARLESS Audio IEM's Discussion/Impressions
In countries like China and HK, customers tend to prefer big brands IEMs over chifi at this price range. The HK local audio shop don't even sell any Fearless products (not even Tin audio). Such a pity.- Turboturbo

I tried Z1R with DMP Z1 at the audio show, wasn't really impressed. I thought the LX sounded better.- Turboturbo

FEARLESS Audio IEM's Discussion/Impressions
I hope you get to try out the 9038s as well, The Rolands sounds more dynamic, air-y, transparent, a bit more details, and extends a bit further across the spectrum with 9038s, I only wish there is an HPToy for 9038s too!- Turboturbo

The Valkyrie sounded "thin", seems something was missing. LX sounds more full-bodied and engaging. I personally think Roland is better.- Turboturbo

FEARLESS Audio IEM's Discussion/Impressions
I fully agree with HBB's latest review on the Roland (I have nothing else to add). I've been listening to the Roland since I received them last week, and I have no complains at all. The fit & sealing is so much better than IMR. I actually found the EE Wraith was way too analytical (everything...- Turboturbo

FEARLESS Audio IEM's Discussion/Impressions
I received my Roland two days ago, it was purchased from the official Fearless Taobao store and shipped to HK directly. It was delivered within 2 days. I've also ordered E1DA's Poweramp V2 and #9038s. Currently, I own IMR R1, R1Z, Hiby R6 Pro, and ifi iDSD micro. Since the Poweramp V2 and 9038S...- Turboturbo

Fiio M11 Pro $600 is coming - Will you Purchase it ?
I'm a daily user of an R6 PRO, and I prefer the sound quality from M11 Pro than the R6 Pro; the non-Pro M11 sounds a bit dry IMO (No wonder some users pair M11 with a tube amp). Despite having a slower CPU, the M11/Pro actually has a smoother interface and operations. You can easily tell the...- Turboturbo

Fiio M11 Pro $600 is coming - Will you Purchase it ?
Tried out the M11 and M11Pro today at the Hong Kong audio show, with IMR R1Z (black filter). I personally found the Pro version sounds quite a bit better - much smoother and more musical. For me, the major differences were the bass & sub-bass. It was punchier and faster. However, the M11Pro demo...- Turboturbo

FEARLESS Audio IEM's Discussion/Impressions
Hey HBB, thanks for the heads up. I currently own IMR R1Z, JVC Sz2000, and urban fun, I'm def a bass lover. Have you tried to EQ the Roland for the bass? Please let us know in what ways the Roland is better than Legend X in your upcoming video. Appreciate that ! Its pretty amazing how chifi can...- Turboturbo

JVC HA-SZ2000/1000 Impressions Thread
Finally bought a pair of SZ2000 from japan with alpha pads. The bass quality is indeed quite incredible. However, the leather around the handband cushion is peeling off, I wonder if there are any quick fixes to it? Are there any amazon handband covers that can fit the SZ2000? thanks!- Turboturbo
