    The Opamp thread

no clue.... i'm personally looking for muses03 comparisons...if it,s up there with the discretes ....i would buy them but they don't take return on these it seems, at mouser the best is to try them (gently) and return them if not happy....

chinsettawong:   i think it s 30ma and 35ma. you can check on the website   marcus1: what is the voltage drop across the PSU s resistor R1?   what about adjusting p1 on the amp boards?

is it a good idea to put a switch on the secondary 6.3V of my power transformer in order to power up the tube heater before applying voltage 300V, so to increase the chances of longer tube lifetime? or if i want the delayed power up, heater should have it s own transformer?

hey guys. got a question:   i d like to have a single custom heatsink per hybrid board in my build for q11,12,13,14. i know q11,12 have to be grounded. do you think it ll be ok if i just ground this heatsink?

that seems ok. datasheet says the idss range is 6 to 50 ma. also when you test the jfet the gate must be conneced to the source. dont know if you have done that properly. just be careful not to blow them because it s your only quad from what i can tell.   also there is a very good website i...

what is important is what the device look like not the envelopes.   take your time for pictures. if this amp turns out to be a success, some of us will still be here to help (i hope) in a couple years :)

unless there is an error on the PCB or the mje350 is not an mje 350, it should fit., even if the pins are not centered. a picture of the transistor next to the pads might enlighten.

when you rotate 180 degrees a mje350,340 the distance between the pins is not supposed to change. look to see if you have the right part at it s right place on the board. pics would help.

Bijou All Tube Futterman Headphone Amplifier

hi everyone, i d like to use the bijou psu to power my darkvoice 336i which draw around 156mA at 200V. is the psu capable of delivering that much current or it would require heavy modifications? if you have other suggestions for a more suitable psu, i m open. a 127V psu for the input...

Cavalli EHHA Embedded Hybrid Headphone Amp

i d like to know what voltage range the EHHA is comfy with because if it can take +-25V happily i d take a 25V AC trafo, so that i have 9V drop across the mosfet. if i choose the +-32V AC trafo, then to get +-30V the mosfet drop would be around 15V(IIRC).

Cavalli EHHA Embedded Hybrid Headphone Amp

hi guys, maybe it has been said before but within what voltage range should the ehha PSU operate? 30V +-...? i ll be using a sigma22 and i m wondering whether to get a 25ac or 32ac transformer and i dont want the psu transistors to heat up too much

Would an AMP improve quality? Or better headphone

what about a gamma 1 or 2 from amb.org? people are geting rid of the y1 to build a y2 these days.it s a portable dac that can drive cans pretty well. saw one on the FS forum for 85$ i think. both would obliterate the soundcards mentioned here IMO. all you need is a digital out from the pc...

Would an AMP improve quality? Or better headphone

if you were going to spend 100 on a headphone. you could take the 130 from a new soundcard and 70 for that amp and get a freaking good used 300 bucks headphone like a denon d5000 easily. just my opinion though. having to start all over again that s what i d do first. anyway you already had my...
