Anybody have experience with 64 Audio iems on tube amps? I’m curious how much a tube is able to color the sound with the LID tech in 64’s iems.- Chorak290

I've only compared the Volür with the M15 and Nio with the M12. I've got them both plugged into my V1 Chord Mojo so I can go back and forth between them. I got the M12 for Nio to try and get some detail back without losing all the fun of the bass and I was happy with that combo. I didn't really...- Chorak290

Just a quick observation after A/B-ing the Volur M15 and Nio M12 on a couple tracks (mostly metal and rock), the Nio sounds muffled in comparison to the Volur so I think 64 Audio succeeded in making the Volur a more resolving Nio. Still has that awesome bass slam but bass is tighter and there is...- Chorak290

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
I recently tried a pair of Focal Clears and if I was looking for a pair of opens those would probably be my choice. They had really good impact, transient response, and detail to my ears. I haven't listened to them, but the Massdrop Focal Elex has almost the same frequency response as the...- Chorak290

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
I agree with you that they don't hit like say a Focal Clear but I do feel the hit on tracks where it is mastered that way. I've found that the AEON shows the track like it is. If there is heavy bass and a hard punch it does it and if the punch isn't there it's because thats not how the track was...- Chorak290

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
I've only listened to nighthawks and ethers on you list and of those 2 the nighthawks were way too dark for me make bands like Mastodon, Meshuggah, and Neurosis way dark. The Ethers are much better but if you could get AEONs those are even better in my opinion.- Chorak290

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
I have really been enjoying metal on my ATH-MSR7 and FiiO Q5. The MSR7 are nice and punchy and detailed and when you switch the bass switch on the Q5 it adds the bass depth I like in metal while staying tight and punchy.- Chorak290
