I don't think it is bad sounding cable at all. It is just really stiff imho.

This just shows how different our preferences can be. Nutopia might be my favourite headphones for music but at the same time one of my least favourite for gaming. HD800S for gaming any time over nutopia for me.

My 2022 Utopia came only with 24 months of warranty. I have not heard of any driver failures with the newly designed drivers though.

It was informative but on that video he basically said any coloration of the sound is bad. That is totally different viewpoint than on the other video. I like how the HDV820 colors the sound even with my 80 ohm Utopia 2022.

This was an interesting review of the HDV820. It pretty much is in line with my experience when pairing with some of my headphones including HD660 S2.

By having more than one headphone? When the soundstage gets big the intimacy is usually not there. At least that is how I feel.

They both have natural timber, great mid range, they are easy to listen and musical. Nutopia (Utopia 2022) might have better sub bass, but neither of them are bass monsters. I don't think it is a fair comparison when it comes to technicality. They are pretty far apart in resolution, layering...

I have never heard those but they shure might be good for gaming. That said, HD800S are pretty much considered one of the best if not the best gaming headphones. I also use the Dolby Atmos plugin for gaming that pietcux mentioned.

It is just natural that everybody prefers different headphones for various of reasons. I prefer different headphones for gaming and music. For fps gaming my preference is HD800S > HD598 > HD660S > HD660S2 > Utopia 2022. Too much bass and dynamic range makes it harder to hear all the faint cues...

With Utopia 2022 I got 2 year warranty certificate, but I guess that is normal.

There are better options for the bass slam and punch but it doesn't bother me at all with S2. IMHO there is still enough impact to make them sound nice and balanced.
