While I’m not ready to write a formal review just yet (want to some 600 Series comparisons), I don’t think that these need 100 hours to burn in. I’ve got about 40+ hours in and I’ve already detected some improvements. If they continue to improve even more, they might just shake things up!

That entirely depends on what DAP you have! I use an A&K Kann Alpha. It has plenty of power to run both 300+ Ohm and even planar headphones. I was getting plenty of volume at 67% in standard mode. Other high power DAP’s like the Kann Max, FiiO M17 or the new M15s will have no problem.
