Hugo M Scaler by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

Yes of course. But you don't listen to jitter "itself" you listen to the distortion components that jitter is causing. Hence I quoted some random values. So putting numbers in us or ns without context is just a number so one can say: "ha look jitter is lower I told ya" Yes.

Still, do you believe that you can hear the difference when the jitter is -140 or -150db? Jitter really doesn't seem to be a problem with current dacs.

    Holo Audio Cyan 2 DAC

I'm using both XLR and RCA output at the same time. One is going into SS (XLR) amp and second connection is plugged into tube amp (RCA). I never had any issues regarding ground loop - event at full volume both amps are dead quiet. Of course ground loops are very "environment" dependent, so YMMV

Hugo M Scaler by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

I told you many times, with Chord stuff don't bother with expensive streamers. Just use decent toslink source and you are done. Unfortunately price and tales fool people...

    Spirit Torino Valkyria

Try different headphones and see how it 'feels'. I don't own Valkyria (just lurking here as it is definitely interesting headphone). I tried this song with IEM that extends down to 20hz with bass shelf. And there is a lot of low bass notes there and also it seems to be out of phase or some other...

I understand you concern. But I'm not sure if there were issues reported with drivers failing over the years. Dynamic drivers seem to be very durable, with planars some companies had problems in the past.

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

I tried some power supplies with TT2 not worth the effort because of super caps. M scaler is more affected by power supply changes. With TT2 stick with stock one. Don't bother.

Nope, no problem at all. Is that a brand new unit?

Hugo M Scaler by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

No it means that it's doing it's job of breaking electrical connection between source and HMS. There is no magic here.

Nothing new. Bias (being connected to low price in this instance) in our hobby is nothing new. Money != sound quality.

    Holo Audio Cyan 2 DAC

I'm using black insulating tape on sample rates indicators. And paper tape (so that leds are very dim) on power/source leds so I can see whenever the unit is on or not.
