I just got a pair of used status audio cb-1's from amazon sold by status audio fulfilled by amazon in "very good condition" for $44 shipped. Defiantly on the lower end of what I was looking at but for that kind of money it kind of leaves me open to buying another set in the not so distant...

At this price point I can hand out my first suggestion, I had the s5 headphones and stepped up in my opinion largely to the vsonic gr-02 bass. I think they are about $40, I still use them every day at work on a Asus u3 and in my s8 when traveling. Downsides maybe, they won't stay in your ear...
